Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026. This policy describes what information True Precision Machining collects through its website and how we use it.
Note: this is an interim privacy policy pending review by counsel. If you have questions about how your information is handled, please email info@trueprecisionmachining.com.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us — for example, when you submit a request for quote, contact form, or career inquiry. This typically includes:
- Name, company, email address, and phone number
- The text of your message or inquiry
- Industry classification (when provided)
- Which page you first arrived on, the site that referred you (if any), and any campaign tags in the link you followed — included with your request so we know how you found us
We do not accept controlled technical data through our public website forms. If a project requires sharing engineering drawings, models, or other controlled tech data, we will arrange a secure transfer through a CMMC-compliant channel after we connect.
Automatically Collected Information
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the pages you visit — to operate the site, prevent abuse, and analyze aggregate traffic patterns.
We also use PostHog, a product-analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, and navigation paths — so we can improve it. This data is hosted in the United States, is not used for advertising, and honors your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. No controlled technical data (ITAR/EAR/CUI) is collected through the public website or its analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry, RFQ, or application
- To establish and maintain a customer or vendor relationship
- To comply with legal obligations (including ITAR, EAR, and DFARS where applicable)
- To improve our website and services
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the business (email, form delivery, hosting, accounting), and as required by law. We do not share your information with advertisers.
Third-Party Services
The website relies on a small number of outside services. Each receives only what is needed to perform its function:
- PostHog — product analytics, as described above. Honors your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
- Web3Forms — form delivery. Receives what you type into the request-for-quote and careers forms and relays it to us by email.
- YouTube — embedded videos on some pages. An embedded video may set Google cookies when the embed loads.
- Google Maps — the location map on our contact page.
- Font hosting — the Inter typeface is served from rsms.me, so your browser requests the font files from that host.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you provide. As an ITAR-registered, ISO 9001 / AS9100-certified organization, our customer-facing systems are designed to keep technical data outside of the public website boundary.
Your Rights
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. To exercise any rights, contact us at info@trueprecisionmachining.com.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to operate, plus cookies and browser storage set by PostHog, the analytics tool described above. Pages with embedded YouTube videos or a Google map may set Google cookies when the embed loads; we do not run advertising or ad tracking. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
